1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)

The common problem of most websites is that they haven’t got enough traffic even though they have tons of good content. Even though the webmasters have spent money and effort to promote their website, they cannot get enough visitors. If you have faced such problem, please read below to get some tips for increasing traffic to your website.

Traffic Boosting Tips

1. Add a link of your website to community sites like MySpace and FaceBook

2. Incorporate a signature link in forums that directs to your site

3. Submit or post links of your websites to social book marking network sites. (see icons of these websites at the end of this article)

5. Add controversial comments on a popular topic. Everyone will like to add their comments there

6. Post answer questions to Yahoo Answers. A quick response will have a greater chance of your answer be selected as the best one. Your credit and popularity will be increased, and so you will have a greater chance to advertise yourself.

58. If your site is popular and has quality unique content then apply to get listed in Google’s News search.

59. Use your robots.txt file to stop Google indexing certain directories and pages on your blog (such as archives) to avoid duplicate content issues).

60. Create a couple of small 10 page sites related to your main site. Offer links on these smaller sites in return for links to your main site (this is triangular reciprocal linking).

61. Get yourself known as an expert and get featured in offline magazines, TV and radio stations.

62. Use an auto-translator service to translate your site into other languages – put it in a subdirectory and watch foreign traffic come in.

63. Get some stickers with your domain name on. Go out and stick them on strangers and say “My Website Yeah, Check it out.”

64. Make posts about sex (don’t have to post anything rude) – and watch the porn surfers find their way to your site through Google.

65. Post about celebrities current events if it relates to your niche – there’s always a lot of people looking up celebrity stuff.

66. Write good headlines/titles – good titles get more clicks.

Vote for the best MP3 Mobile Phone

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)

Apple Iphone 3G

The good:
The Apple iPhone 3G offers critical new features including support for high-speed 3G networks, third-party applications, and expanded e-mail. Its call quality is improved and it continues to deliver an excellent music and video experience.

The iPhone 3G is a fantastic mobile video and music player. That much was established with the launch of the original iPhone. We’re happy that the headphone jack is no longer recessed, making it easier to use any 3.5mm jack headphones. The new display is warmer, described by some folks as yellow, and this isn’t a defect. Apple changed the color temperature of the display to achieve more natural and rich colors. We like it just fine, and wouldn’t have noticed the change until we played our old iPhone 2G beside the new model. Like the iPhone 2G, the 3G iPhone’s display is viewable outdoors even in direct sunlight.

The bad:

The iPhone 3G continues to lack some basic features that are available on even the simplest cell phone. Battery life was uneven, and the 3G connection tended to be shaky. Also, the e-mail syncing is not without its faults.

Sony Erisson W810i

The good:
The Sony Ericsson W810i is augmented by an attractive design; an improved keypad; great music quality; and a generous range of exceptional features, including Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, a memory card slot, and a speakerphone.

The primary multimedia feature is the music player, or “Walkman” as Sony rather obviously band it. We’re not quite so sure it deserves the rather revolutionary brand name that for those of us that can remember had such an impact in the early eighties. However the Sony music player is a rather fine example of how to get MP3 playback into a mobile and one which iTunes and Motorola could learn a lot from. The software supports playback of both MP3 and ACC files making it compatible with most peoples music collections, the player fires up with one press of the Walkman button and the controls change their function with the main joystick acting as playback control. The whole package is very user friendly and the sound quality is first class which is even more obvious should you choose to hook it up to a speaker system, we were stunned that a small mobile could really sound that good. We also liked the 3.5mm stereo jack which enables you to use any earphones you like with the hone and not be limited to those supplied as other phones force upon you. We used the W810i on the London tube with our Shure E2C’s and found the experience to be as good as using an iPod!

In order to play MP3 files you do have to be able to store them so the Sony Memory Stick Duo support is key for getting multimedia content onto your W810i as the onboard space is a tiny 20mb. However using the Duo slot you can add 1gb of memory which turns the phone into an iPod shuffle equivalent, except this has a nice interface and is very easy to use. Sony aren’t too tight with the standard package and do include a 512mb Duo card so you may even get away without spending any extra on upgrades. Getting media onto the W810i is best achieved by slotting the Duo card into a PC card reader or into the inbuilt slot on a Sony Laptop as the USB connection on the phone is only USB 1.1 which is very slow to move MP3 files over.

The bad:

The Sony Ericsson W810i suffers from staticky call quality and glitchy music transfer software. Also, it lacks a Bluetooth stereo profile, and the integrated memory is limited to 20MB.

Nokia 5310

This is a good music phone from Nokia that can rival Sony Ericsson’s Walkman range. We love the ultraslim, lightweight design, the practical keypad and the hot looks. The 5310 has a fully loaded music player and FM radio, up to 4 Gbytes of memory for storing songs, a 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity. The battery life is below average, but this phone is definitely worth a look. This is primarily a music phone, and it’s equipped with a full function music player and FM radio. The music player has support for playlists, album art and an equaliser. You can listen to your music using the built-in loudspeaker.

The camera is a respectable 2 megabytes. It lacks a flash, which is a shame, but in good light it’ll take decent pics. The display is outstandingly good, with a high-res screen that’s as good as anything in this price range. Although the phone isn’t 3G, it supports fast downloads using EDGE and has the Opera Mini Browser built-in, so you can still browse the web, and the screen is large enough to make this feasible. The phone comes with 3 games, and you can download Java games too. The UI is quite customisable, with animated screensavers, wallpapers and downloadable themes.

Motorola RAZR2 v8

The Motorola RAZR has been one of the most popular mainstream cell phones in recent years. Motorola has now beefed up the fliptop to attract an even wider audience, particularly music aficionados. It still isn’t going to blow away your favorite smartphone, but its smooth handling, compact size and added memory capabilities make the MOTORAZR2 V8 a solid competitor.
The music setup is, in a word, is superb. Press the music quick key and a current list of the music library is shown. It is organized by genres and other factors. Choose a song, then use the directional pad to play/pause, forward, reverse or stop. Close the top and the overhead monitor becomes an limited iPhone-style touchscreen: press the corresponding button to control the music. Most impressive is the sound, which, frankly, is some of the best phone music ever heard in recent memory. Put it in a small office and the neighbors may start complaining about the noise. The volume is great, and yet the clarity is crisp at any level. (Rock, rap and blues music sounded equally excellent.) The included earphones have soft, cushy covers and a button to control the music as well as to shout voice commands.

How to delete a recorded voicemail?

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)

I suppose there may be times you find nervous on leaving to somebody a voice mail of which you want to undo recording it or delete it later. This probably may be due to you do not want to leave a certain impression to certain people. Below is a little trick which I learned on how to erase or undo recording a voicemail you are not satisifed with. This trick is not iPhone-specific, but it works on AT&T enabled phones at least (as regards other service providers, I have not checked it out).

The method is as below:

1/ After recording your voice mail, don’t hang up!

2/ Go to your iPhone’s keypad, touch star (*).

3/ Your message will be erased and you’ll be given the option to either re-record it or hang up. That’s it. There will no more embarrassing voicemails left.

I hope this method will be useful to you all.

Don’t Fall into Scam of Hosting Company

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)

Hosting seekers read this before you select a hosting company, it helps you to avoid scams …

1/ Don’t trust hosting companies offering unlimited-bandwidth package
There are many dishonest hosting providers who claim to provide unlimited disk space and bandwidth. So never trust these companies which are the master resellers of other hosting company whose main aim is to attract the clients. Once the company is able to generate clients, your account will lose its viability. The companies close your accounts and provide you with illogical reasons like cosuming excessive bandwidth, etc. And these are just excuses for reducing their server’s traffic. So always try hosting your website on reliable hosting companies or on your own server else you might face suspension very soon.

2/ Don’t trust alpha providers or master resellers
My second tip to you would be not to trust alpha providers or master resellers. The master resellers provide you with luring offers of web hosting for $5 per month or $30 for a year. Can you imagine your website hosting for just $30 per year? Here initially you will be able to avail the services but gradually with time, either your account will be suspended due to overload or you might face problem with the hosting.

Also the alpha master resellers have the same story. They charge you minimal at $60 per year but the services provided by them are also unsatisfactory. With the passage of time, you will face suspension of the account. Your account will be overloaded or you will experience problems with the service such as server down or losing of database etc. The companies exist to make profits and hosting large number of accounts can often deteriorate the quality of service been provided to you.

Also can you imagine that the hosting companies functioning with just $150 to $200 per month since they are charging you $60 per year? If your provider is using an 8 GB RAM on 100 Mbps port, and then your monthly charges are $300 - $400 per month. So no company works for negative balances in their balance sheet. They aim for high profits. So now you can actually know why you should not trust these companies.

3/ Don’t trust hosting websites that built with a free template
A free-template website company indicates that it does not have enough money to support a unique-website design for the company. So can you imagine trusting these companies for hosting your website?

4/ Find hosting companies with dedicated servers and avoid resellers
Always try to find companies which own their dedicated servers. Avoid resellers and alpha master resellers since they don’t provide you with quality service. They just give you false promises. So beware of getting into their trap.

5/ Avoid excessive cheap hosting plans
Be cautious of selling the proxy’s on your servers since they use loads of CPU and again your server will be overloaded with the files. Also it will increase your bandwidth.
You should have around $1000 in your hands to start business requiring a website hosting. Else leave the plan of starting this kind of business.

Initially seek the web hosting companies. Then find out the details of the company, contact them for relevant details and search for comments on their services in Forum websites . Make sure that you don’t pay one year’s advance to the company without knowing them completely.

You will certainly have a good start of online business by referring to my above suggestions on choosing hosting company.

A computer is probably the most hardworking machine ever created. There are things that you can do with a computer that you never thought is possible. Do you know that you can actually turn your computer into a pro recording studio? With the right tools, you can actually do this! You don’t have to pay the recording studio on an hour basis that would cost you hundreds of dollars. With the use of computer technology, along with some powerful software, you can record high-quality audio without shelling out a fortune.

To start with a pro recording studio, there are 5 basic components that you need.

These include:

- a fast and powerful computer
- a good sound card,
- your sound source,
- audio recording software and
- speakers or headphones.

A recording software is one of the things that you should give importance to. There are a lot of choices for you in the market for a good audio recording program. It should have all the features that you need. You can start with a light version of the software and gradually upgrade and purchase a professional version if you have the budget for it and if you find it reasonable for you to do so.

In choosing a recording software program, you would want to look for audio and MIDI multitrack recording abilities. It should also support plug-in effects like DirectX, Reverb, Compression, Delay, Chorus, EQ, and Autovol effects. You can choose popular recording software like DigiDesign Pro, Apples Logic, Cakewalks Sonar, Abletons Live, Steinbergs Cubase and N-Track Studio.

Aside from the features and brand names of recording software, it is important they have a good instruction manual and offers technical and costumer service support. This would allow you to get help if by a chance you get yourself in trouble when working on your audio recording studio. One of the best ways that you can work around these tools is to experiment and practice using them as much as you can. In no time, you can start a full blown recording studio that would only cost you a fraction of the normal expense that you usually would.

Starter’s Guide on Setting up a Forum Website

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)

Many people who plan to commence operation of a forum website will always have problems and questions on how to seek members and transform the traffic of their website to a fruitful business.

You will find from below some useful tips and information on how to start and plan on setting up your forum website.

Availing FORUM-SOFWARE Services
As instigation, you may want to avail any one of the forum-software services like phpbb to get your forum started. As serviceable as they seem to be, but they are not comprehensively armed with facets like modifications, mods and skin that aid to a smooth running of the forum. I’ll personally suggest IPB or VB for the same purpose; for the fact that it lets you customize your forum with many-to-be-chosen-from modifications and mods, and the fact that they embed immense support.

Creating a comfortable and enthralling NICHE
Brainstorming for an applicable niche (or a ground) is the next step. It must be a well thought one, and should match your interests. If you vacuum the enthusiasm out while coming up with a pertinent niche, it will unarguably reflect on the projection of the forum. Competitions should be freed from your considerations while coming about a niche; working through a topic that offers you enough excitement will culminate into a successful forum.

Achieving MONETARY GAINS from your Forum
Achieving monetary profits from forums can be an uphill task; more daunting than what a website can proffer. Nevertheless, there are alternatives that can help you in earning money. You may start to attract advertising by offering advertisers an attractive price for ad placement. As the frequency of visits and participations for your forum increases, you can raise the charges of your banners and other products. Some other sources of advertising are sticky topics, banners, paid memberships, adsense, announcements and text links.

How to seek participants?
Perhaps the most exacting thing is to find members. You need to adopt innovative ideas in order to make the visitors stick around and indulge actively. For this you need to be highly creative and present mint conditioned services. They may include revenue sharing, holding contests or having to pay your members through certain mediums.

Conclusion
As a conclusion, I’ll put my recommendations into a nutshell. A well supported forum-software such as IPB may be used to customize the forum; posting contests and money making opportunities can attract visitors and increase the frequency of personally visits; sharing and selling links and banners can be additional monetary credits.

When the forum is being viewed actively, it becomes an AUTOPILOT, and you do not need to bask into your forum every now and then; it works without any manual conduction.

I anticipate for this post to have cleared your doubts.
I wish you all the best.
